Winash residential home reached the finals of the Care & Support West Care Awards 2022 to be named as one of the top 3 care homes in the southwest and our Housekeeper, Andi, won Support Staff member of the year 2022, for a second time. We are proud of the numerous awards we have won over the past 8 years.

Our History

Winash residential home was established in 1938 and has a long history of providing excellent care in this beautiful location in Clevedon.

Heather House’s family bought the care home in 1973. They lived and worked here, providing on-site care for residents, 24 hours a day.  Heather briefly left Winash to complete her nursing training and once qualified, she returned, becoming the manager in 1996 and the owner in 2003.

“The business has been in my family for over 50 years and we have built strong relationships within the community. We’re trusted to care for families’ loved ones because we take the time to get to know them. Second and third generations have called Winash home.”

CQC Rating

We are rated Good by the Care Quality commission. CQC Say “Staff had a good knowledge of the people who lived at the home and were able to pick up if people needed any changes in their care. Staff were able to tell us detailed information about how people liked to be supported and what was important to them.”

Living in a foreign country I never felt far away from my mother with the good and clear communication from all members of staff, which gave me great peace of mind.
